Advanced Charging Technology

Our lithium charger range is engineered around a simple principle: reliable, efficient charging that performs consistently in demanding industrial environments.

Reliable Power Conversion

Phase-Shifting Full-Bridge Converter technology provides reliable power conversion for low-voltage, high-current charging applications

Controlled AC Input

AC current limiting helps minimise the impact of unstable grid supply on the charger and supports more controlled operation.

Heavy-Duty Construction

An aluminium radiator unit positioned beneath the PCB improves heat management and helps the charger withstand demanding operation and vibration

Intelligent Protection

Protection features include overheating protection, battery reverse-polarity protection, short-circuit protection and automatic shut-off when charging is complete

Simplicity & Reliability at the Core

  • Phase-Shifting Full-Bridge Technology

The charger platform uses Phase-Shifting Full-Bridge Converter technology, specifically designed for reliable low-voltage, high-current power supply applications. This architecture provides a robust foundation for demanding industrial charging requirements.

  • High-Efficiency Charging

Selected charger models achieve conversion efficiencies of 92% or higher, helping reduce energy losses during charging. The high-efficiency charger platform also incorporates precise voltage and current control and high power-factor performance.

  • Designed for Industrial Environments

CHASE charger solutions are designed to operate in demanding conditions. The supplied charger range includes models built for environments involving low temperatures, high humidity, heat, vibration and dust

  • Intelligent Charging Control

Higher-power industrial chargers can incorporate CAN communication, auxiliary power and charge-lock functionality, together with voltage and current self-test protection to support safe and controlled charging.

Charge During Natural Breaks. Keep Your Equipment Moving.

Lithium battery technology allows charging to take place during available breaks in operation, helping restore battery capacity throughout the working day.

Opportunity charging can be carried out during lunch breaks, shift changes or other periods when equipment is not in use. This helps maintain available battery capacity and supports continued operation across demanding working schedules.

The opportunity-charging example supplied by CHASE demonstrates how battery capacity can be replenished at intervals during operation rather than relying only on one long charging period at the end of a shift.

High Efficiency. Lower Energy Consumption.

Efficient charging reduces the amount of energy lost during the charging process and can contribute to lower operating costs over time.

In the worked example supplied for a 48V 560Ah battery, the traditional charger uses 40.65 kWh per full charge, compared with 31.9 kWh for the high-efficiency charger. This represents an energy difference of 8.75 kWh per full charge.

Based on two full charges per day, the example calculates an annual energy saving of 6,387.5 kWh. Actual energy savings will vary depending on battery capacity, charger configuration, charging frequency and operating conditions.

More Energy Into the Battery. Less Energy Lost During Charging.

Lithium Charging Efficiency

The comparison supplied by CHASE illustrates the potential efficiency advantages of lithium-ion charging compared with a traditional lead-acid application.

In the example, the lithium-ion system requires less charging energy per operating shift and delivers a lower calculated charging cost. The example shows a 30.47% electricity saving under the specific operating assumptions used in the comparison.

Match the Charger to Your Battery and Site Requirements

CHASE Technologies offers a comprehensive 3-phase charger range for higher-demand industrial applications.

The supplied specification provides multiple voltage and current combinations together with recommended grid cable sizes, breaker requirements, industrial plug specifications, input power and input current.

This allows the charging system to be selected not only according to the battery, but also according to the available electrical infrastructure at the customer's site.
